Tax Accountant
Role Description
As a Tax Accountant, you will contribute towards delivering a high-performing central tax function for the Allianz UK Group. This involves ensuring that all corporate and indirect compliance tax matters are sufficiently maintained, fulfilling all tax reporting requirements of Allianz SE, and assisting with tax advisory and specific projects as required.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £52k per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
This is a Fixed Term Contract Opportunity for a period of 12 months.
About You
* Prepare, submit, and obtain agreement (by HMRC) for all relevant corporate and indirect tax returns and payments required.
* Maintain compliance records and documentation to ensure all required tax filings and payments are made by statutory deadlines.
* Fulfill all tax reporting requirements of Allianz SE.
* Maintain tax accounts and balances for the Allianz Insurance UK Group.
* Provide support on tax advisory matters or specific tax projects.
* Stay up-to-date with tax technical matters and communicate relevant issues to the business. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, advisors, and tax authorities.
Essential Skills
* Fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CTA
* Proven experience in corporate and/or indirect tax.
* Experience in tax reporting.
* IT literate with excellent Word and Excel skills.
* Ability to interpret and explain tax technical issues clearly and conduct research.
* Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

* Experience with tax software such as OneSource.
* Experience with accounting systems like SAP.
