We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join us at Essex Wildlife Trust as our Conservation Ecologist.
The Conservation Ecologist makes a significant contribution to Essex Wildlife Trust’s evidence work and is responsible for gathering, analysing, collating and communicating ecological evidence to inform conservation management and biodiversity gain on Essex Wildlife Trust’s nature reserves and across the wider Essex landscape.
The postholder will be a key member of the Conservation Evidence Team and will work closely with the Senior Conservation Ecologist.
With practical field experience and a good knowledge base in ecological survey techniques, along with species identification skills across a wide range of taxa, the Conservation Ecologist’s work will be diverse and innovative.
This role is well suited to applicants that hold a degree in Ecology/Nature Conservation (or a similar field) or are able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
This is a permanent, full time position working 37.5 hours per week. The starting salary is £27,798.88 per annum and benefits include free life assurance, parking, branded logo clothing and enhanced annual leave and sick pay provisions increasing with length of service.
