Key responsibilities
* Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and peripheral hardware
* Implement and maintain OS, virtualization platforms, and system monitoring tools
* Collaborate with software, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure hardware compatibility and optimal system performance
* Manage system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management
* Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure performance issues
* Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities for critical systems
* Implement security policies, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation
* Support technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and incident resolution
Key Skills & Knowledge
* Must have experience with Hardware & Infrastructure – Setting-up Servers (Dell, HP, Cisco), Storage systems and configuration of Networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
* Strong experience with Operating Systems both Linux and Windows Servers.
* Virtualization & Cloud Platforms – VMware, AWS, Azure
* Database & Application Support – Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
* Scripting & Automation – Bash, PowerShell, Python
* Networking Protocols – TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, Subnetting, Firewalls, Routing/Switching
* System Monitoring & Management – Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds
