Mental Health Team Manager – Transitional Supported Housing Project
Salary: £32,760 – £38,220 per annum (salaries vary depending on experience).
Contract type: Permanent, full‑time – 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, inclusive of bank holidays. Occasional evenings & weekends, with occasional shift coverage. You will also participate in an on‑call rota.
Location: Oxfordshire.
We are recruiting a Mental Health Team Manager for our Transitional Supported Housing Project, a service supporting individuals with serious mental health diagnoses in their recovery journey and transition to independent living.
Role overview
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the service, ensuring the team provides bespoke packages of support tailored to the needs of the individuals we support. You will ensure KPIs are met, audits are successful and the service operates efficiently and legally. You will provide leadership to the team and encourage them to perform at their highest achievable level.
Key responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and ensure support plans promote dignity, choice, and independence.
* Manage complex cases and escalated serious concerns to clinical teams.
* Facilitate move‑ins, manage voids, and coordinate with referrals and housing teams.
* Lead reflective practice following serious incidents.
* Supervise and develop staff, manage rosters, recruitment and training compliance.
* Conduct audits, spot checks, and ensure health & safety standards.
* Oversee medication checks and safeguarding processes.
* Advocate for residents in clinical consultations and support benefit access.
* Promote meaningful activities and skill development.
Person specification
Essential
* Strong experience managing a team.
* Basic knowledge of safeguarding, mental health and team development.
* Strong planning, communication and management skills.
Desirable
* Diploma or vocational qualifications in management and leadership.
* Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, CBT, motivational interviewing.
