We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover at our inclusive primary school in Bexley. This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to support students with special educational needs and make a significant impact on their learning journey.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher with the implementation and monitoring of individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Utilise effective strategies to engage and motivate students, fostering their academic and social development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience working with children with SEN.
* A strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective support strategies.
* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
