Our client, a leading consultancy in the highways sector, is seeking a Highways Associate to join their team in Manchester. This position opened due to a recent departure and offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical leadership across a range of highways and transport infrastructure projects, from local authority schemes to major national infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading project delivery from early concept through to construction
* Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients
* Managing and mentoring a small team of engineers
* Supporting the development and growth of the Manchester office
* Controlling budgets, programmes, and resources
* Supporting bids and business development activities
Job Requirements:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng)
* Solid experience delivering highways and transport projects
* Strong understanding of DMRB, MfS, and local authority standards
* Proficiency in design tools such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX or AutoCAD
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* Ability to lead and influence stakeholders
