Mechanical Supervisor – Bournemouth Contract Full‑Time
We’re working with a leading UK infrastructure and utilities contractor who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks team on an ongoing contract basis, based on‑site in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of essential infrastructure projects in the water sector.

The Role
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising and managing on‑site operational resources, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll lead subcontractors, support commissioning, and drive performance across a range of mechanical works.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring high‑quality and safe delivery of works
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and day‑to‑day direction to the site team
* Monitor progress, performance, and productivity to meet project targets
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues within treatment plant systems and equipment
* Oversee maintenance and repair of mechanical assets
* Liaise with supply chain partners to support delivery, testing, and commissioning activities
About You
This role is ideal if you have:
* Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor role within the water, utilities, or process engineering sectors
* Strong background managing subcontractors and multi‑trade teams on active sites
* Recognised mechanical qualification with SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* A proactive approach to health, safety, and quality
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
