OCU Hornbill, part of the wider OCU Group of Companies, has a new opportunity for an experienced Preconstruction Project Manager.
Role Overview
The Pre-Construction Manager will assist the pre-construction team with upcoming projects, creating tender programmes and pre-construction paperwork, and supporting tendering and client communications.
Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
o Conduct site inspections and pre-planning activities.
o Develop project schedules and timelines.
o Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet project requirements.
2. Budgeting and Cost Management:
o Prepare and manage project budgets.
o Conduct cost estimations and financial analysis.
o Oversee procurement of materials and services.
3. Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
4. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
o Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
o Provide regular updates on project progress and address concerns.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare detailed project reports and documentation.
o Ensure permits and approvals are obtained.
6. Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor project teams.
o Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Skills & Experience
* Strong project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project).
* Knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience with tendering and tender assistance.
