Job Duties:
The English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in English and Maths subjects. Duties include developing individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure academic success.
Required Qualifications:
* A relevant teaching qualification
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
A degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of SEN support strategies
* Ability to create and implement individualised learning plans
* Proficiency in assessing student progress and adapting teaching methods
Preferred Qualifications:
* Specialist SEN qualifications
* Experience in outreach or community-based education
Working Conditions:
This role is part-time, with flexible hours. The tutor will primarily work in learners homes or local libraries, in Rainham, engaging with students in one-on-one or small group settings. The position requires travel to different outreach locations within Greater London.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
