Equans is looking for a Grounds Operative to join our team, working in Kew, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 4DU, on a permanent basis. This role involves working 42 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £40,.00 per annum, along with an attractive benefits package.

Position Overview:
Main Purpose of Job To maintain the allocated site and associated grounds to a professional standard, by means You will be part of the wider FM team with your primary responsibilities looking after a mix of planting types, including container planting, garden space and commercial premises.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Conduct litter picking and external grounds sweeping duties.
2. Undertake weed control to the planters, raised beds and turfed areas Fertilizing lawns, trees, flowers and shrubs as required by the most appropriate and safest means.
3. Carry out winter maintenance preparation in advance of adverse weather and snow clearing duties including gritting services. Keep abreast of adverse weather conditions and put in place the relevant measures to ensure the site is kept safe for all users.
4. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns Irrigate plants, maintain proper watering schedules and spreading mulch
5. Lawn care by means of hand tools and mechanically propelled gardening equipment.
6. Road and rainwater gulley maintenance and clearance of leaves and debris. Unblocking tiered planter drainage channels and gutter cleaning.
7. Seasonal clearance of fallen leaves.
8. Jet washing of external slabs & stairways..
9. Monitor plant health and apply fertilizers or pesticides as needed in accordance with safety guidelines
10. Proactively monitor the estate logging all actions with the central Helpdesk, reporting issues or concerns at the earliest possible opportunity to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction.
11. Move materials, stock and furniture as necessitated by department requirements. This will include external waste bin movement between external areas and the waste store.
12. Use relevant tools and equipment and machinery in a safe manner.

Who are we looking for?
Ideally have certified relevant qualifications or suitable equivalent.
1+ years of groundskeeping or related experience.
Valid drivers license.
Proficient in using manual and power tools safely.
Free from allergies that interfere with Groundskeeper duties.
Ability to follow instructions.
Available to work overtime.
Proficient with sending emails.
Physically agile and dexterous.
Ability so supervise works carried out by subcontractors where required
