Internal Communications & CSR Internship

Location: Weybridge

We are now looking for our next Internal Communications & CSR intern for our Student Placement Year programme supporting Sony Europe’s Internal Comms team — the crew that keeps everyone connected, informed, and inspired across the company.

You’ll write and design stories for Sony Europe, help pull together eye-catching newsletters, and be part of company-wide moments — from leadership updates and creative campaigns to live webcasts and CSR projects. One week you might be interviewing a colleague for a feature article, the next you’re helping produce a video or organising a campaign like our Sony Summer Challenge!

The Job

What will you be doing?

1. Creating, drafting, and publishing articles for the Sony Europe intranet
2. Updating LIVE content on the Sony Europe intranet
3. Drafting and sending email updates from the One Sony Europe Internal Comms mailbox
4. Compiling the SEU Sustainability newsletter and supporting other internal newsletters
5. Assisting with the organisation of the biannual Sony Europe Webcast
6. Supporting CSR and social contribution activities
7. Leading and supporting with regular internal communication campaigns
8. Raising purchase orders (POs) and general operational support

What we need you to bring?

9. An obsession for writing & producing written content
10. Exquisite communication skills (written & verbal)
11. Exceptional attention to detail
12. Self-motivated, organised and inquisitive individual who is not afraid to challenge and be challenged
13. Enthusiastic and proactive attitude to working on constantly evolving projects and ad hoc duties

Our Recruitment Process

After you have submitted your application, selected candidates will be asked to complete a self-service video interview. After we have carefully reviewed all the video interviews, those who successfully meet our hiring criteria will be invited to an interview with our hiring team. During or prior to the interview, there will be an additional case-study task for applicants to complete. Why? This not only allows us to see what you can do but also enables you to get a taste of what your day-day work will entail. After the interviews have concluded, we’ll move to the offer stage, and before you know it, you’ll be here at Sony!

Throughout the recruitment process until your start date, you’ll have regular connections with our HR & Sony Placement Year programme team, as well as our current interns to answer any questions and provide guidance and further information on your Sony journey. This will also allow you to connect with the other future interns who will form the 2026 Sony cohort and start building your network. If you will need to relocate, this is also a great opportunity to find others in the same situation.

Your new office

Weybridge

Based at the Weybridge office, you will enjoy a vibrant and friendly working environment. We have an onsite canteen with a wide range of options available, and a barista style coffee shop. There is a well-provisioned onsite gym run by our own Sony Wellbeing Coordinator, with classes on set days in the mornings, at lunch and after work hours. We have a staff car park which includes electric charging points, an undercover and secure bike rack (useful if you’ve made the most of the Cycle-to-Work scheme), or if you will use public transport we have a shuttle bus service that regularly runs between train station and the office at peak times.

We currently require our Weybridge based employees to work on site a minimum 3-days per full working week.
