LJMU are seeking an experienced professional for the position of Procurement Manager. Working directly with the Head of Procurement you will have a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring cost effective purchasing, managing internal and external relationships, and ensuring adherence to Financial Regulations. You will work within the wider Finance Function, and in partnership with academic, technical and professional services staff, as part of the central procurement function at LJMU. You will lead on procurement projects for goods and services as allocated, being responsible for the preparation and delivery of all stages of the procurement cycle. You will aim at ensuring continuity of supply, delivering value for money, influencing the wider impact of procurement and the sustainability/reduction in scope 3 carbon emissions. You will also manage commercial and legislative risk relating to Procurement. You will be a key contact for individual faculties and departments, responsible for providing procurement advice, guidance and training on LJMU systems (e-procurement, e-tendering and procurement cards).
