CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit focuses on delivering contemporary and innovative technical solutions for government agencies’ most challenging problems. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems to help our clients stay secure. We are currently looking for experienced software engineers to join our cross-functional team who, in partnership with our clients, will help define, guide and assure the delivery of integrated solutions. Due to the secure nature of the project, applicants must be solely a UK National (no dual nationality and no visa) and be prepared to undergo a security screening. A valid SC clearance is required or willingness to obtain one. The role is suitable for some office or home-based work but requires onsite attendance in Gloucester (or Manchester) due to secure system access.
Your future duties
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team for a cloud-based big data project. This role focuses on design, development and delivery of software implementations, configuration of software improvements, maintaining deployment environments, and supporting changes to live systems when needed. We seek candidates with a positive problem-solving attitude who can adapt to client problems as required. The languages and tools used include:
