Qualified Management Accountant / Commercial Finance Manager, North Kent Your new company A well-established and growing organisation in the transport and infrastructure sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Management Accountant / Commercial Finance Manager to lead their finance function. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial operations and play a key part in strategic decision-making.Your new roleAs the Management Accountant / Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing commercial insight to support business growth. Key responsibilities include: Leading the finance function for the organisation’s operations Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and board pack commentary Posting month-end journals and conducting periodic P&L reviews Managing budgeting and forecasting processes Supporting and leading financial discussions with key stakeholders, including local government bodies Providing commercial analysis to support strategic initiatives Utilising financial systems such as Oracle Fusion (experience beneficial but not essential) What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need: A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in both management accounting and commercial finance Strong analytical and communication skills Experience in preparing board packs and leading financial discussions Proficiency in financial systems; experience with Oracle Fusion is advantageous.
