We are looking for full-time Support Workers to join our team in Dewsbury, supporting up to 20 clients with Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviours, and Mental Health needs.
You will support clients in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, cooking, and activities both inside and outside the service.
Our clients enjoy watching movies, listening to music, and pamper sessions!
Full flexibility is essential, and availability to work on a rota including weekends is a must.
Main duties of the job
* Person-Centred: Prepare support plans reflecting clients’ views and aspirations, reviewing and updating them as needed.
* Respectful: Support clients to live as independently as possible, supporting their interests, hobbies, and promoting choice.
* Open: Communicate transparently with clients and team members, acting with integrity.
* Understanding: Provide personal care respecting clients’ choices and dignity, including assistance with washing and toileting.
* Dedicated: Keep accurate records, including daily notes, with client involvement.

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to enable clients to live their best lives, helping them fulfill their aspirations.

Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring care is provided in a way that protects clients from abuse, maintains dignity, and supports positive risk-taking.
* Supporting clients’ individual needs, including personal care and domestic duties.
* Supporting quality inspection processes and cooperating with inspectors.
* Working in accordance with health and safety requirements.
* Carrying out household duties like cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
* Providing appropriate care as per care plans, including personal care.
* Maintaining accurate records.
* Carrying out physical tasks like climbing stairs, using hoists, and moving people, with adjustments considered for disabilities.
* Learning to use computer packages and undertaking relevant training.
* Working cooperatively as part of a team.
* Communicating effectively with carers, families, inspectors, and external stakeholders.
