Pay: £14.66 per hour
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (with alternate weekends off)
Shift times: Between 7am and 6pm –great worklife balance
We’re looking for three Sous Chef s to join our catering team at HMP Parc, Bridgend. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated chef ready to step into a leadership role. You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day kitchen operation, supervising a team of chefs and working alongside enhanced inmates, helping to ensure the unit runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What you’ll do:
* Supervising and supporting chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals three times a day
* Preparing and serving quality food within a pre‑ordered menu structure
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and compliance
* Completing relevant paperwork and due diligence accurately
* Supporting a positive kitchen culture and confidently managing challenges when they arise
* Completing any required training to support the role.
What we’re looking for:
* UK residency for the past 5 years with legal right to work
* Ability to pass full DBS and security vetting
* Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience
* Relevant culinary qualification
* Effective communication skills and a calm, professional approach.
