Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable educator looking to support secondary schools across Liverpool? Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in classrooms covering Key Stages 3–4 (ages 11–16).
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in KS3–KS4.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
Support students of mixed abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Adapt activities and guidance to suit different learning needs.
Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
Build positive relationships with students and school staff across multiple settings.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:
Prior experience in educational settings (e.g., teaching assistant, cover supervisor, tutor, youth work, coaching, etc.).
Confidence in delivering lessons to secondary school students aged 11–16.
Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
The ability to adapt teaching approaches for a variety of learning needs, including SEN.
Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, professional attitude.
