Role Overview
The Education & Children's Services Directorate is committed to improving life chances for all through a wide range of direct services. This role is for a highly skilled Administrative Coordinator to line manage a large team of staff, ensuring efficient administrative support for Headteachers and the management team.
Responsibilities
* Line manage and supervise a large team of administrative staff across multiple establishments.
* Ensure an effective, efficient, and coordinated administrative and clerical support service for Headteachers and the management team.
* Collaborate with other Administrative Co‑ordinators to review, improve, and implement changes to operational systems and processes in line with changing objectives and resources.
* Work under the direction and supervision of a Primary Business Manager.
* Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
* Support staff through coaching, delegation, and performance monitoring to meet targets and achieve goals.
Qualifications
* HND or equivalent educational qualification at SCQF level 8 in a relevant discipline.
* Extensive experience working in an educational setting.
* Strong people‑management, communication, and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of financial and IT systems, and experience using them to improve processes.
* Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to drive forward improvements.
