Temporary Night Watchperson - Public Sector (Ardrossan and Troon)
Hourly Rate: £12.63 | 12-hour night shifts as required
Our Public Sector client in Ardrossan and Troon is seeking a Night Watchperson on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Port Manager/Ship Chief Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of vessels and their surroundings during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct hourly patrols and monitor mooring ropes, gangways, safety nets, and securing ropes
Ensure the security of vessels, restricting access to unauthorised individuals.
Maintain a telephone watch for emergency call-outs from Fire, Police, or Ambulance services
Respond to incidents by calling out the ship's crew when necessary
Assist with vessel berthing and gangway operations, ensuring safe access is maintained
Oversee the security of pier buildings and vessels
Maintain the mess room and adhere to all company work instructions
Perform additional duties as requested by the Port Manager
