MET Technician Needed in Sunderland - Join Other Successful Individuals placed at this site!
1. Salary: Up to c.£20 p/h Dependent on Experience
2. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 4.30pm (45-hour contract) – No weekends

I am currently recruiting for a skilled MET Technician to join a well-established and growing Accident Repair Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, team-driven environment that offers great benefits, career progression, and a real commitment to employee wellbeing.
As an MET Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles (HGVs, vans, and cars) to their pre-accident condition. Your experience in MET and auto electrics, along with welding and general bodywork, will contribute to achieving site targets and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities for an MET Technician :
6. Undertake high-quality mechanical and electrical across a range of vehicle types
7. Assess damage and determine the most effective repair methods using specialist tools and equipment
8. Comply with standards and manufacturer repair specifications
9. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
10. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve productivity and quality targets
What We’re Looking For in a MET Technician:
11. Proven experience as a MET Technician, Auto Electrician or Multiskilled Technician within accident repair
12. Good knowledge of body repair tools, equipment, and techniques
13. Welding experience is preferred but not essential
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
16. ATA/NVQ qualifications are desirable – support is available to obtain or renew certifications
