We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our small friendly team at Penrith Community Hospital on a Bank post.
The job involves preparing salads and sandwiches for both patients and for the Café within the hospital. Provide a meal service to the patients, ensuring the presentation standards are high and food safety standards are adhered to.
Previous catering experience would be preferred but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities include:
* Working as part of a small team
* Providing a meal service to the patients, ensuring the food is well presented
* Serving customers in the café, taking both cash and card payments and cashing up from time to time
* Deal with receiving deliveries into the department and assisting in putting the stock away
* Communicate with colleagues and nursing staff, either face to face, or via the phone.
* Recording all appropriate temperatures, and ensuring HACCAP information completed appropriately
