Spire Gatwick Park are looking for a Host and Catering Assistant to join the bank staffing. You will provide a quality food and beverage service to patients and visitors at ward/daycare level working with the Support services, administration and Nursing teams. We are seeking someone with Strong hands-on experience working in a kitchen as a kitchen assistant.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Responsible for taking meal orders from patients and visitors on a daily basis.
2. Observe all dietary requirements as identified on nurses list and ensure patient’s menu choice is compatible
3. Convey compliments and complaints relating to food and food services to the line manager
4. Report to nursing staff patients who may be experiencing eating difficulties. poor appetite, difficulty in swallowing or chewing
5. Ensures that all crockery and cutlery is presented to the patient clean and undamaged.
6. Reports all incidents of damage to stock and equipment to the line manager
7. Responsible for washing, drying and putting away of returned trays, crockery, cutlery and glassware
Who we're looking for:
8. Experience working unsupervised and on own initiative, prioritising tasks
9. Strong hands-on experience working in a kitchen as a kitchen assistant
10. Confident in managing day-to-day staff restaurant operations as well us interaction with patients us a host
11. Someone with a proactive attitude who can adapt quickly to a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment.
12. A positive and flexible approach to customer service
13. Good communication skills
14. Able to work as part of a team
15. Experience in a similar role is essential
16. Willing and able to complete mandatory training for COSSH, Manual Handling, Infection Control, food hygiene and Health & Safety in-house.
Working Hours: Shifts earlies: 6.30-14.30, Lates: 11.00- 19.00 or 17.00- 21.00 over any 7 days
