Hazel Tree Education supports an alternative provision in Warrington LEA.
We are looking for a cover supervisor to lead life skills lessons, focusing on Food Tech on Tuesday and Thursday.
You will lead a small group of learners, supported by teaching assistants. You will decide and plan your groups focus, giving weekly updates and allowing the school to order ingredients for simple yet practical meal preparation.
The school is a small specialist school for children and young people aged 7-16 with Social emotional mental health needs.
The school is an inclusive and nurturing environment and require like-minded staff to enhance their learner’s education and wellbeing.
The school hours are 8:15-3:15, with a 30-minute break.
This will be a great temporary introduction to the school, who are frequently looking for support staff both temp and perm.
Must Have
X Experience of leading a classroom
X Strong Behaviour Management and de-escalation techniques
X Experience of Supporting learners with SEMH
X Interest in Food Tech or experience in teaching it
X Calm, Patient and empathetic approach
X Ability to build professional Relationships
X Excellent Team work
X Clear understanding of safeguarding
X Two references including most recent employer
X Right to work in the UK
X A clear DBS on the Update Service
