Exciting Opportunity for Deputy Manager - Childrens Home Residential Care

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to step into a fulfilling role that makes a real difference in the lives of children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent. You MUST have a level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
About the Role: In this rewarding position, you'll have the chance to work in an Ofsted-registered Children's Home, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment. Your daily experiences will be diverse, involving leadership, teamwork, and hands-on care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in care.
* Inspire and motivate young people to engage in activities and education.
* Lead staff teams effectively in a residential childcare setting.
* Manage the home confidently in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* Full UK driving license with business insurance.
* Willingness to work a 2 on, 4 off rota, including sleep-ins.
* Experience with OFSTEDInspections and a strong understanding of current legislation in the sector.
* Ability to deliver therapeutic care and support to young people.
* Flexibility for shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins.
Desirable Attributes:
* At least 3 years of experience working in children's residential homes within the social care sector
* Leadership and Management qualification preferred.
* Understanding of attachment and trauma as they relate to young people.
* Proven experience in developing staff teams and individual capabilities.
