A well‑established organisation in Belfast is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its busy finance function. This organisation is known for delivering high‑quality service across vehicle sales, leasing and aftersales operations. Due to continued growth, they are now expanding their credit control team.
Your new role
This is a fast‑paced and customer‑focused credit control position, responsible for managing a high‑volume debtor ledger and supporting the wider finance team in maintaining healthy cash flow. You will work closely with internal departments, customers and external partners to ensure payments are collected efficiently and accounts are accurately maintained.Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
2. Carry out proactive credit control via telephone, email and writtenmunication
3. Resolve invoice queries by liaising with sales, service and accounts teams
4. Monitor aged debt reports and escalate risks where necessary
5. Allocate and reconcile payments against customer accounts
6. Set up new customer credit accounts and perform credit checks
7. Support end‑of‑month processes and reporting for senior management
8. Maintain accurate records and adhere to internal credit control procedures
9. Build strong working relationships with customers to encourage positive payment behaviour
What you'll need to succeed
10. Previous experience in a credit control, collections or accounts receivable position
11. Strongmunication and negotiation skills
12. Confident handling high‑volume workloads and meeting deadlines
13. Good Excel skills and experience working with finance or CRM systems
14. A professional and customer‑focused approach
15. Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
