An exciting opportunity exists within our Land Rover dealership at Aberystwyth, part of the Sinclair Group, for a Sales Manager to join the sales team, and provide support to Head of Business in managing the sales department.
Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Sinclair Land Rover Aberystwyth
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-time
Hours of work: 5 days out of 7 on a rota (working every other weekend plus one day off in the week)
Position Pays: £35,000 basic salary, plus monthly performance bonus - OTE £66,000
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within our Land Rover dealership at Aberystwyth, part of the Sinclair Group, for a Sales Manager to join the sales team, and provide support to Head of Business in managing the sales department.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring all sales enquiries are dealt with efficiently and professionally
2. Analysis of departmental profit on a daily basis, ensuring costs are contained and reduced.
3. Management of the sales team and sales processes
4. Management and control of profit margins
5. Management and control of stock pricing and presentation
6. To maximise the sales and profitability of vehicles and associated products
7. To work effectively with the other departments to provide an excellent customer experience
8. To monitor and achieve KPI targets
9. To recognize that teamwork is key and to coach and develop Sales Executives to excel in their role
10. Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
11. Maintain a strong relationship with the manufacturers and external suppliers
12. Ensure the sales team deliver professional customer service at all times
13. Able to market and think outside the box to increase new and used car sales
More About you:
As our ideal Sales Manager, you will ideally have experience as a Sales Manager/Business Manager within the motor trade, or an alternative industry but be able to demonstrate key customer handling, managerial and organisational skills. You will also require the following skills and experience:
14. Good understanding of both new and used vehicle sales.
15. Experience of managing a large, successful sales team.
16. Must have an appetite for generating sales
17. Current UK Driving License
