The Role As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating and converting new business opportunities.
Initially, the role is internally based, requiring superior telephone and Microsoft Teams skills. As your understanding of a surprisingly sophisticated product range grows, the scope and seniority of the role will naturally develop.
You will operate in a structured, commercially driven environment where initiative is encouraged and performance is recognised early.
Key Responsibilities Generating and converting new business opportunities
Managing internal sales activity and pipeline development
Identifying prospects using Glenigan, Barbour ABI and LinkedIn
Selling products and solutions to trade and construction customers
Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
Managing follow-ups and maintaining accurate CRM records
Working closely with senior management to maximise sales performance
About You Proven experience in business development, internal sales or telesales
Confident, credible communicator with strong closing ability
Self-sufficient, organised and commercially focused
Comfortable working independently without close supervision
Target-driven, with strong motivation for financial reward
