An exciting opportunity has arisen within the WHU for a permanent part-time housekeeper post, 16 hours per week.
The Womens Health Unit is a busy, multi-purpose unit caring for women undergoing a range of inpatient and outpatient gynaecological procedures. The successful candidate will provide support to the unit to meet departmental requirements, ensuring the environment is maintained, tidy, and well-stocked. Support may also include assisting with patient meals and beverages.
You will work alongside a dedicated team of nurses and doctors to promote a high-quality care environment.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining the cleanliness of the department environment according to Trust policies.
2. Identifying and acting on additional cleaning needs.
3. Assisting with core domestic duties and room preparation.
4. Adhering to infection prevention and control policies.
5. Assisting nursing staff with additional cleaning tasks.
6. Ordering and maintaining stock levels, including during weekends and holidays.
7. Supporting equipment decontamination and reporting faults.
8. Ensuring patient confidentiality.
9. Participating in staff appraisals and mandatory updates.
