We have an exciting opportunity for an Inspection Engineer to join our team based at our customer’s site in Shotton. Main Duties to Include: Thorough examination of crane ropes, door winch ropes, and accumulator ropes. Rope change outs on overhead electric travelling cranes, change outs of accumulator counterweight ropes and door winch ropes. Regularly working at heights of up to 20 metres on cranes, some work up to 30 metres high on top levels of plant though on walkways with handrails. Regularly handling and lifting wire ropes up to 35mm diameter. Thorough examination and tagging of wire rope slings, web slings, shackles and eyebolts and general loose lifting equipment. Thorough examination of fall arrest harnesses and lanyards On the day amendments to risk and method statements as required if job circumstances change. Information input via a tablet. Skills / Experience Required: Good written and verbal communication skills. Good timekeeping and ability to work to deadlines. A positive attitude towards hard work. A good team spirit and willingness to quickly learn new skills. Must be physically fit, motivated and have a head for heights. Previous experience as an Inspection Engineer is beneficial. Qualifications required: LEEA Part 1 would be an advantage. CCNSG passport to safety.
