Your new role
As a principal engineer, you will be responsible for a large estate reporting to the head of building services and engineering. You will be based in central Manchester and will manage budgets and all mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all statutory compliance and legal provisions
* Operate within the annual budget
* Take full responsibility for all the mechanical systems
* Full compliance with statutory requirements, in line with SFG20
* Provide specialist advice and guidance on new Mechanical Pressure Systems and Gas plant investments
What you'll need to succeed
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Ability to manage contractors
* Proficiency in working with standard Office IT, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel
* Understanding of Maintenance Management Systems, e.g. PLANON. Ability to use specialist software, e.g. AutoCAD
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of building services systems, specifically relating to Mechanical and Gas Engineering, including the Building Regulations and legislation governing its operation and maintenance.
* Degree, or equivalent, in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline
