The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of projects and play a key role in delivering electrical MEP design from concept through to completion.
You’ll be working on technically challenging projects, with a high level of client interaction and the chance to influence both design decisions and project outcomes.
This role suits someone who wants more responsibility, exposure, and the ability to support and develop junior engineers within a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead electrical design delivery across a range of projects
* Act as Project Lead on selected schemes
* Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
* Attend and contribute to client meetings and design reviews
* Produce and review calculations, drawings, and specifications
* Ensure compliance with British Standards and Building Regulations
* Support and mentor Junior Engineers
* Contribute to improving technical standards within the team
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Work across all project stages from inception to completion
Experience & Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or HNC/HND with relevant experience)
* Minimum 3-4+ years’ experience in Building Services electrical design Experience using Amtech Dialux or Relux Revit (desirable)
* Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, electrical design and distribution systems and British Standards and Building Regulations
* Knowledge of BREEAM and sustainable design principles
* Renewable / low-carbon technologies Knowledge of HTM guidelines (desirable)
* Working towards or holding CIBSE / IET membership (desirable)
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* Salary up to £55,000 (DOE)
