Chelmer Valley High School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Head of Geography. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic department and will have experience of teaching Geography at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. We are looking for someone who will be prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the best outcomes for their classes and who will be able to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons.
Responsibilities
* Deliver creative and vibrant lessons that enthuse and motivate students.
* Communicate effectively and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
* Lead others within the Geography Department.
* Deliver against clear objectives with long and short term action planning at a curriculum level, including the ability to analyse data effectively.
Qualifications
* Experience of teaching Geography at KS3, GCSE and A-Level.
* Track record delivering against clear objectives and action planning.

Information about the School
Chelmer Valley High School – An Engineering & Leadership Specialist Academy - is located north of Chelmsford, in the village of Broomfield. We became an Academy on 1st August 2011.
The school is a very popular and oversubscribed, mixed, 11-18 comprehensive with 1200 students on roll. It has modern facilities including state of the art Technology and Science facilities, a specialist Performing Arts centre, purpose built sixth form building and modern PE facilities.
The current school roll is nearly 1200 students, including 190 in the Sixth Form.
Leadership is strong: internal promotion is encouraged and staff progress to Heads of Department, Deputy Headteachers and other schools.
