About the Role As the Head of Finance, you’ll be a strategic leader and trusted advisor, shaping the financial future of Alemba. You’ll work closely with the s e n ior management team, reporting to the General Manager and influencing decisions that drive growth and profitability. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced env ir onment, driven to build scalable, efficient financial operations and is looking to own the finance function. While this role is remote, candidate s should ideally be based in the UK, for the right candidate we would be willing to consider other geographical locations. What You’ll Do Lead all financial activities, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. Partner with sen ior leaders to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals. Drive process improvements and champion new technologies to moderni s e financial operations. Pre sen t financial insights and recommendations to sen ior leadership, helping shape company strategy. Occasional travel ( 1-2 x per year) to company events and portfolio summits. Key Responsibilities Participate and o versee full-cycle accounting, ensuring accuracy and tim ely monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting under IFRS. Lead budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with department heads to set ambitious yet achievable targets. Deliver clear, actionable financial reports and analysis to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with IFRS and Tax regulations, including US Sales Tax and transfer pricing Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust internal controls. Monitor KPIs and leverage data to uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency. Drive business and process transformation, streamlining workflows and supporting data-driven decisions. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, professional designation such as ACCA, ACA, CPA requ ir ed 8 years of progressive accounting experience (3 years in a leadership role ideal). Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 15). Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Exceptional analytical, organi s ational, and communication skills. Experience in technology-driven businesses or SaaS is a plus. Experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement; familiarity with BPC, GP, NetSuite, or similar systems an asset. Experience in multi entity, international finance. Analytical, strategic thinker focused on actionable outcomes and process improvement. Driven self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, entrepreneurial env ir onments.
