Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong ability to educate and inspire students in their academic pursuits. This role is essential in providing tailored support to students, particularly those requiring special education assistance. The Tutor will work closely with students to enhance their understanding of various subjects, fostering a positive learning environment. Specifically, we are looking for primary and secondary tutors who can travel in Edinburgh and/or Fife, due to recent increase in demand.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support.
* Develop personalised lesson plans that cater to the individual learning styles and needs of each student.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff to track progress and address any concerns.
* Assist students in developing study skills and strategies for effective learning.
* Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that motivate students to achieve their academic goals.
* Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
* Maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and self-esteem in learners.
Qualifications
* Experience or training in education is highly desirable, though not required.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
* Relevant qualifications in education or a related field to your chosen subjects.
* We are currently prioritising face-to-face tutor recruitment. Your ability to commute in and around Edinburgh will be very important.
