About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support a range of projects across the organisation. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that quality standards are consistently met, maintained, and improved throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for all quality-related matters, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
You will be responsible for identifying, managing, and resolving quality issues, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards. This is a dynamic position requiring the ability to manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues across multiple concurrent projects.
2. Manage non-conformances from identification through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective closure.
3. Lead and facilitate Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, ensuring robust analysis and sustainable solutions.
4. Review and approve technical and quality documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
5. Participate in design reviews, providing quality input to ensure risks are identified and mitigated early in the development process.
6. Support bid and proposal activities by contributing quality-related content, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory expectations.
7. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
8. Monitor quality performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to drive improvements.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and customer requirements throughout all project phases.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
10. Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
11. Confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to senior management, across a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds.
12. Strong decision-making capability, with a willingness to take ownership and accountability for resolving issues through to completion.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information.
14. High level of proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
15. Experience with SAP Quality module is desirable but not essential.
16. Demonstrable experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions is essential.
17. Familiarity with quality management systems (. ISO standards) would be advantageous
