Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people who face social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges?

We are currently recruiting Psychology graduates to work as Behaviour and Mental Health Support Assistants across a range of alternative provisions and specialist education settings. These schools support children and young people who may have been excluded from mainstream education and often present with complex behavioural needs.

The role:

Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of SENCOs and pastoral teams.

Build positive, trusting relationships with students to help them re-engage with learning.

Contribute to safeguarding and the overall wellbeing of students.

This opportunity is ideal for Psychology graduates who:

Have a genuine interest in mental health, child psychology, or behavioural support.

Are considering a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, or Teaching.

Have previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential).

Are resilient, compassionate, and confident in managing challenging situations.

What we offer:

Full-time, term-time only work with ongoing support and training.

The chance to gain practical experience working alongside skilled professionals.

A clear route into further training, permanent employment, or post-graduate study.

Opportunities in alternative provisions, PRUs, SEN schools, and SEMH settings.

Applicants must be:

Degree-educated in Psychology or a related field.

Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide professional references.

Open-minded, proactive, and ready to learn in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

If you’re ready to take the first step in your psychology career while making a real impact in education and mental health support, we’d love to hear from you.
