Job Title: B7 Systemic Family Therapist
The Royal Free CAMHS Eating Disorder Service is seeking a B7 Systemic Family Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. We serve five boroughs in North Central London, providing specialist treatments for young people with various eating disorders through outpatient, day patient, and inpatient services.
Our family-based treatment approach emphasizes systemic work, and the successful candidate will join an established team of therapists. Collaboration with disciplines such as nursing, dietetics, psychiatry, psychology, and psychotherapy is integral, offering a rich clinical experience with opportunities for growth.
We prioritize professional development, offering CPD sessions, supervision, and opportunities to join our Family Therapy clinic. Depending on experience, there may be opportunities to supervise colleagues.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Conduct eating disorder assessments and manage a caseload delivering evidence-based, systemic treatments including FT AN, FT BN, and FBT ARFID.
2. Provide systemic family therapy to improve treatment outcomes.
3. Participate in MDT discussions, supervision groups, and systemic consultations to develop informed formulations.
4. Coordinate care and support patients throughout their recovery, working across crisis and stability phases.
5. Take on the role of Duty Clinician once a month, triaging referrals and managing urgent cases (training provided).

Additional Details:
This is a full-time role; part-time or job share options are considered with a minimum of three days per week.
The Royal Free is part of the North Central London ICS, working closely with NHS and local authority partners across Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. We are committed to staff training and are a training site for medical, nursing, and midwifery students from various universities.
Key Tasks:

* Conduct systemic family assessments and devise care plans using systemic techniques.
* Communicate effectively with families, referrers, and team members to coordinate care.
* Manage and review caseloads, assessing risk and adjusting care plans accordingly.
* Ensure safe transfer and management of complex cases, seeking support when needed.
* Reflect on clinical practice and contribute to team development.
* Lead communication with referrers and act as an advocate in multi-professional meetings.
