MRTPI Principal Planner Job in Leeds, Yorkshire/ Remote Working
based in Leeds/ remote working, for an employee-owned planning and design consultancy. Our client now requires an additional person ideally based out of their Leeds office, but could be based out of any of their offices across the North and South Wales as they offer remote working with the requirement to attend the office 1-2 days month. The role will be working on energy infrastructure, waste and commercial projects and they are happy to look at both Senior Planner or Principal Planner level. Offering a salary of between £45,000 – £60,000 + Car allowance £4200 + Remote/Hybrid Working.
They provide planning, design and engineering services across renewable energy, infrastructure, environmental, waste and minerals, industrial, retail and commercial. They are an employee-owned company offering further scope for progression and the role will involve managing one planner within their busy planning team of 8. Their wider team of 200 is split across the North and South Wales.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Handling a variety of planning applications for both strategic and immediate projects
2. Working on energy infrastructure, waste management, mineral and commercial schemes
3. Planning policy and appraisal work
4. Land promotion
5. Development Management
6. Project delivery
7. Coordinate and prepare planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments
8. Manage sub-consultants
9. Undertake site appraisals
10. Provide strategic and tactical planning advice
11. Working closely with Landscape Architects and internal planning team.
Required Skills & Experience
12. MRTPI
13. Ideally experience in energy infrastructure, waste or environmental
14. Commercial and residential planning experience may also be considered
15. Consultancy or developer background.
