FUNERAL DIRECTORS ASSISTANT
To assist the in-house Funeral Director in all aspects of funeral planning and preparation and to directly assist the Funeral Director on Services as they take place.
You will be working under the direction of the Funeral Director including admin, preparation for funerals and mortuary work, with the opportunity to progress with the funeral industry. The position will also involve mandatory on-call repatriation duties, weeknights and select weekends. (Therefore, applicants should live within the Harrogate District).
Core Hours = 35hrs per week.
(Worked Mon – Fri 08:00 – 16:00 with variable one hour lunch break).
Requirements:
· Applicants must be 25yrs or above to be able to drive company vehicles for purposes of insurance.
· Clean driving licence.
· Previous experience not essential as full training will be provided in-house.
· Full DBS Check will be carried out.
· Two full character references, one of which should be from a previous employer.
· In order to carry out all aspects of this position and to comply with Health and Safety Legislation, the post holder would be asked to have the Hepatitis B Vaccination, the cost of which will be borne by W. Bowers Funeral Directors (The Employer).

ANNUAL SALARY £26, inclusive of on-call commitment)
