Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in various accounting software applications. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable & receivables, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry into accounting systems.
* Process accounts payable and ensure all invoices are paid on time.
* Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
* Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
* Provide support in the implementation of new accounting software as needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within the finance sector.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is preferable .
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
