Role Overview:
Mitie is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support and deliver Construction Projects across the National Grid Estate.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects.
* Lead on-site construction projects, liaising with senior management, clients, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
* Manage consultants, allocate resources efficiently, and foster a motivated team environment.
* Maintain a commercial understanding of projects, advise on cost savings, and represent the company professionally.
* Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect site visitors and staff.
Main Duties:
* Define project scope with the Project Sponsor.
* Ensure project delivery aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Manage resources and stakeholder relationships, conduct risk analysis.
* Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
* Manage project finances with the internal commercial team.
* Attend meetings, develop project schedules, and manage deliverables.
* Record and escalate issues, manage scope and changes, monitor progress.
Person Specification:
* Experience managing full project life cycles in construction, with leadership of project teams.
* Proactive planning skills, familiarity with CDM regulations.
* Knowledge of site safety, project management tools (e.g., Monday.com), and Microsoft Office.
* Strong achievement orientation, organizational skills, and experience in construction or facilities management sectors.
