Job Description
With a focus on operational technology and digital transformation, Capula—part of the Dalkia Group—has delivered high-performance system integration for decades across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing. Innovation is our foundation, and we’re constantly evolving.
At Capula, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace where diversity is celebrated in all its forms. We actively encourage applications from individuals of minority backgrounds, underrepresented groups, and those with disabilities. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute their unique perspectives.
We’re looking for experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) engineers to join our Energy team. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery of control systems—designing everything from PLC-based panels and MCCs to field cabling—primarily in the thermal and hydro power generation sectors.
What You’ll Do
* Lead design and delivery of EC&I systems, from site surveys to final documentation
* Produce design packs and technical documentation (schematics, GAs, cable routing)
* Support testing, commissioning, and technical input for tendering
* Oversee project compliance, quality, and health & safety
What You’ll Bring
* A solid background in EC&I or control system design, ideally in energy or similar complex environments
* Hands-on experience with control panels (PLC, I/O, Comms cards, UPS), MCCs, and field cabling systems
* Familiarity with major OEM platforms like Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider—bonus if you’ve worked with TIA Portal, ControlLogix or M580
* Understanding of industry standards (IEE Wiring Regs, IEC 61508/61511, DSEAR) and how to design for compliance and safety
* A methodical, solution-focused mindset and the ability to interpret customer requirements
* Experience guiding junior engineers or leading small project teams
* Comfortable working on-site when needed, with a full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
Why Capula? You’ll get 28 days holiday (plus bank hols), flexible working, private healthcare, enhanced pension, mental health support, and options like the cycle-to-work and green car schemes. We also cover professional membership fees and support your path toward IEng or CEng accreditation.
