Job Title: SEN Support
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking committed and compassionate SEN Support staff to work in schools across Sunderland.
As SEN Support, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to provide tailored assistance to students, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Responsibilities of SEN Support:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needs
* Assist students in accessing the curriculum and completing classroom tasks
* Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised strategies
* Work alongside teachers to adapt learning materials and approaches
* Build strong, positive relationships to encourage engagement and progress
* Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
SEN Support Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or support setting
* CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
* A relevant degree such as Psychology or Education is beneficial
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
