Introduction to role: The UK Engineering team works as an integrated partner of the Worldwide Vanderlande Engineering team, consisting of over 1000 engineers from all automated handling disciplines. In the challenging and fast-paced position of Project Leader Engineering, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth and continued success of Vanderlande.
Responsibilities
* Managing the planning of engineering projects by being a stakeholder manager and creating and owning the engineering project plan.
* Technical leading of internal and external teams to successful project execution.
* Proactively controlling the budget of engineering projects by identifying risks and opportunities and evaluating engineering scope and modifications, including ongoing reporting.
* Managing the Technical Solution, including responsibility for the delivery of (sub-)systems with the right quality by acting as a technical business partner to customers and other external parties.
* Execution of health and safety analysis and ensuring implementation thereof in the design.
* Continuously improving project management processes, including community development and best practices to support better individual and collective engineering project delivery. Qualifications
* Relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or controls engineering.
* Appropriate years of experience managing complex engineering projects for demanding customers in a dynamic and system-critical environment, including the technical lead of multidiscipline teams.
* Qualified project management knowledge with proficient expertise within engineering projects, ideally within material handling systems (Electrical/Mechanical/LLC/HLC/Safety).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficient usage of MS Office.
