Training Delivery Instructor – Mechanical Engineering
Location: HMS Sultan, Portsmouth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full‑time, term time only basis (45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks 2 weeks at Christmas, Easter and 3 weeks in August; salary pro‑rated)
Security: Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you’ll be doing
* Deliver Mechanical Marine Engineering training on ship auxiliary systems in line with the Sultan Training Plan.
* Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area.
* Maintain and update training materials, assess coursework, and provide constructive feedback to learners.
* Apply best practice to drive quality improvements across Royal Navy training programmes.
* Ensure learner safety, progression, and achievement of KPIs and SLAs during all training phases, including simulated environments.
* Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to personalise learning journeys and maintain your CPD portfolio.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
* Competent Mechanical hand skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Any experience in Electrical Engineering would be highly beneficial.
