About the Role We are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Residential Support Worker to join a dynamic service supporting both children and young people across multiple provisions. This includes a childrens residential home (ages 1115) and supported accommodation services for young people aged 1618. The young people we support come from trauma backgrounds and may present with a range of emotional and behavioural challenges. Your role will be to provide consistent, trauma-informed care while promoting independence, stability and positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and support in both residential and supported accommodation settings Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people Support daily routines, life skills and independence development Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours Encourage engagement in education, trainingor employment Work as part of a team to provide a safe, structuredand nurturing environment Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning Shift Patterns 9:00am 11:00pm plus sleep-in 7:00am 9:30am next day Based on a 3-week rolling rota: approximately 7 x 24-hour shifts (including sleep-ins) Requirements A calm, patientand resilient nature Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a professional and supportive manner Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young people (residential care, schools, youth work, SEN, family supportor similar) Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer Comprehensive training, including PRICE (Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment) Opportunity to complete the Level 4 Childrens Residential qualification Ongoing professional development and career progression Supportive team environment across a range of services The chance to make a genuine impact in the lives of young people If you are passionate about supporting children and young people to overcome challenges and reach their potential, we encourage you to apply.
