We have a fantastic opportunity for Courier Drivers to join our team based in Shrewsbury.
The main purpose of this courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.
The role requires excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards. You will record jobs and items delivered and collected using electronic and paper-based forms, ensuring all courier tasks are completed correctly and on time.
* This role is a bank (0 hour) position. Night shifts only.
* £12.21 per hour (+12.07% uplift on each hour worked, in lieu of holiday pay)
Your duties include:
* Carrying out courier journeys to various locations, routes, and timings.
* Completing digital and manual documentation as required by legislation and organizational procedures.
* Maintaining regular contact with the operations office using various communication systems.
* Ensuring all items are kept safe and secure at all times.
* Complying with the Road Traffic Act and relevant legislation while driving.
* Acting as the customer contact at delivery points and relaying relevant information to the operations office.
* Performing vehicle checks prior to use and reporting defects verbally and in writing.
* Remaining polite and courteous to customers and road users at all times.
You must hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
