Hours – 7.00 – 5.00 Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Maximising customer interactions to support achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products offering specific product advice. Operatives should never leave without material required to do the job or the relevant material being placed on order.
* As above if knowledge of certain products/trades is required, this should be sought from manufacturers/relevant staff. (“Don’t stock that, don’t know, don’t sell that” are banned phrases)
* Operatives queries may come via several formats: telephone, email and via AVAIL app software and need to be actioned in a timely manner as per each customer contract.
* Have a proactive attitude toward sourcing of material, EG supplier lead time 4 weeks, available online next day to ensure completion of customer works in a timely manner.
* Developing new customer accounts and lapsed accounts
* Realising full potential of all customer interactions and build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers, managing feedback accordingly
* Ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
* Supporting all Company initiatives
* Following plans to continuously improve customer experience
* Understanding local market issues and communicate to Manager to support sales growth plans
* Advise customers on trading terms and conditions and information in relation to customer accounts and credit levels

Required Skills And Experience
* Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
* Experience in a customer facing environment
