The Radiology department operates from multiple sites to provide a wide range of imaging services. We are looking for suitably qualified staff to cover night duties as a radiology support worker; to provide support to the radiographers as part of our out-of-hours cover and to maintain smooth patient flows throughout the department. The post requires flexibility to work across Queens Hospital and King George Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers within Radiology, including preparation and tidying of rooms, care of patients, clerical and processing duties.
* Undertake duties in the General x-ray (Plain Films) department and support activities across both hospitals.
* Support the night shift as part of out-of-hours cover and contribute to efficient patient flow in a 7-day department with a flexible pattern.

The post-holder will provide support to Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers within Radiology, including preparation and tidying of rooms, care of patients, clerical and processing duties.
The Trust is progressing with improvements and has opened new theatres at the King George Hospital Elective Surgical Hub and has been shortlisted for Trust of the Year at the Health Service Journal Awards. The Trust operates from two main sites – KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. There are two busy emergency departments and other related developments such as Women’s Health Hub, Ageing Well Centre and Community Diagnostic Centres.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and provide a substantial imaging capacity.
