ROLE OF DEPARTMENT

* Support and develop the firms IT systems so it meets the demands of the firm, enabling us to meet our business goals and objectives
JOB PURPOSE
* Ensure the stability, performance, and security of the firm's IT infrastructure
* Support and maintain core systems including Citrix, Visualfiles, storage, and backup solutions
* Contribute to infrastructure projects
* Support the firm's strategic goals through scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure solutions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain and support Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), ensuring optimal performance and user experience
* Support and troubleshoot Visualfiles case management systems, including upgrades, integrations, and customisations
* Provide 2nd/3rd line support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests
* Monitor and manage server, storage, and network infrastructure across multiple office locations
* Assist in storage utilisation, ensuring efficient capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive issue resolution
* Maintain backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and business continuity
* When required collaborate on infrastructure projects and system improvements.
* Ensure compliance with legal industry standards and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001)

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are advantageous
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
* 2+ years' experience in the relevant domain
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
* Strong experience with Citrix or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
* Hands-on experience with Visualfiles administration and support
* Background in legal IT environments or professional services firms
* Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals
* Experience with storage management (e.g., SAN) and backup technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, or similar)
* Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Full, clean Driver's Licence
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
* Experience with ITIL practices and service management tools
* Familiarity with legal applications such as Visualfiles, SOS or any alternatives
KNOWLEDGE AND APPTITUDES

* Experience working in a Professional Services environment
* Good communication skills dealing with a variety of business levels both internally and externally
* Calm and level-headed nature toward conflicts
